COMMUNITY ORGANIZING IN OTHER EUROPEAN LOCATIONS

Sleszka Diakonia (eastern Czech Republic) and Caritas Slovakia have

made plans to add community organizing to four locations each where they currently provide social services.  Goals include listening to and actively involving clients, parishes, NGO’s, and other stakeholders in solving community problems identified by area residents.  Initiation of these efforts is pending until funding for training and staff can be found.
